Job summary

Piran Composites in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate daily production schedules, materials, subcontract suppliers and customer requirements to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

You will work with workshop supervisors and project teams to manage ERP/MRP data, support ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance, and provide progress updates and delivery documentation to customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production schedules with workshop supervisors.
• Monitor job progress and identify potential delays.
• Update production planning systems and work orders.
• Assist with capacity planning and machine utilisation tracking.
• Ensure priorities are communicated across departments.
• Assist in customer concession submissions.
• Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries and order updates.
• Provide progress reports on active projects.
• Coordinate customer deliveries and collections.
• Support project managers with administration and reporting.
• Raise purchase orders and track supplier deliveries.
• Manage material shortages and expedite urgent requirements.
• Liaise with subcontractors and external suppliers.
• Maintain inventory and stock records.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation is complete and up to date.
• Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance activities.
• Maintain records of NCRs, concessions, and corrective actions.
• Assist with audit preparation and document control.
• Daily delivery schedule checks, update customers on changes in schedule
• Maintain ERP/MRP system accuracy.
• Coordinate meetings and record actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide customers with correct delivery documentation
