Are you from a sales or customer service background, with experience working in an office environment, looking for a varied and exciting role?

WMR Waste Solutions is a Waste Consultancy Business specializing in the Commercial and Construction industries, offering waste solutions nationwide. We pride ourselves on delivering high-level customer service across all aspects of our business.

Job Purpose

In this role, you will perform a range of varied tasks within a busy office environment. Your responsibilities include processing and following up on orders and quotes via email or phone, resolving customer queries, and interacting with clients and supply partners. You will update, input, and monitor data through our CRM system and collaborate closely with the wider team to ensure our customers receive the best support and advice possible.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Managing the day-to-day logistical operations of the business, following strict processes from initial enquiry to completion. Orders may include skip exchanges, hazardous waste removals, compactor empties, and full rollouts of wheelie bins for large commercial clients. Resolving queries from missed waste collections to comprehensive customer support.
  2. Maintaining our CRM system and other records, providing ongoing updates with customer contact details, task status, and outstanding actions. Tracking work or queries through to resolution, including liaising with suppliers and keeping clients informed throughout.
  3. Being the first point of contact for customer sales and service queries via email or phone.
  4. Proactively following up with customers to ensure satisfaction with our services.
  5. Resolving queries with customers and suppliers swiftly and accurately via email and phone.
  6. Finding solutions to customer problems, presenting proposals and quotes in collaboration with the Commercial Operations Manager.
  7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers through ongoing communication.
  8. Ensuring compliance with HR and Health & Safety regulations to promote a safe, equitable, and legally compliant workplace.
Knowledge, Training, Qualifications, and Experience Required
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Problem-solving and resolution abilities.
  • Experience using and maintaining a CRM system.
  • Previous experience in the waste industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude.
