Job summary

Metro Rod is seeking an experienced Administrator for our East Kilbride office. You will support a busy engineering depot, schedule work and liaise daily with internal and external customers to provide a first‑class service.

The role requires strong IT and MS Office skills, superb time management and outstanding written and verbal communication. Some on‑call coverage evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within administration and customer service – ideally within a construction, engineering or similar blue-collar environment.
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
• Strong administration and IT skills – using Microsoft packages.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to cover some on-call work: manning the phone between 5pm and 7pm on some weekdays and some sporadic weekends.

£27,000-£30,000 DOE plus benefits

Location: East Kilbride, Glasgow. Hours: 8am‑5pm Mon‑Fri.

Position Overview
