Qualifications

  • Strong experience of working in a regulated firm.
  • Experience within insurance and Lloyd's is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of FCA and PRA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st line support to the business.
  • Onboarding new clients and overseeing AML checks.
  • Interact with the Group Financial Crime team.

Operations Controller, investment team within Insurance

Oliver James are very excited to be supporting a prestigious Global insurance firm with their search for an Operations Controller to join their private equity arm. This is a unique opportunity to truly make your mark, working primarily within the 1st line of defence. You will be working across teams and speaking directly with clients on a daily basis.

Main responsibilities:

  • Report into the Operations Manager.
  • Provide 1st line support to the business.
  • Onboarding new clients.
  • Oversee AML and PEP due diligence checks.
  • Interact with the Group Financial Crime team.
  • Complaints handling.
  • Staying updated on relevant FCA and PRA updates.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience of working in a regulated firm.
  • Experience within insurance and Lloyd's is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of consumer duty principles.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the FCA, PRA and CASS would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of Worldcheck.
  • Able to speak confidently to clients and take initiative.
  • Commercially minded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
