Job Description

Our Lutterworth site has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Controller to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Salary: £29,000 per annum.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.

As the Operations Controller, you will support the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient scheduling for inbound receipts and outbound loads.

Responsibilities of the Operations Controller include:
  • Managing the outbound schedule to meet collection and delivery times.
  • Issuing instructions to staff to maintain smooth inbound and outbound operations.
  • Controlling outbound paperwork for accuracy.
  • Being the first point of contact for drivers arriving on-site.
  • Communicating issues promptly to Shift Managers to minimize disruptions.
  • Participating in the operations team and suggesting improvements for efficiency, customer service, and quality.
  • Maintaining good communication with transport providers to prevent delays and failures.
  • Providing detailed handovers to the next shift, highlighting issues and current status.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar fast-paced role.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on schedules and resources.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook with high attention to detail.
  • Team player capable of working independently.
  • Knowledge of on-site systems, including Autostore and RF equipment.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional attitude towards customers and third-party hauliers.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
