The Company

Our client has grown to provide all Groundwork and Civil Engineering services across the UK and Ireland from our office in Northern Ireland, delivering services to some of the biggest names in construction worldwide.

The Role & Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director, we seek an Operations / Contracts Manager to take full control of our operations & Contracts Management. This role involves building and developing our senior management team from the pre-contract stage through to project completion. The candidate should be capable of managing and delivering the following responsibilities:

Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience managing projects in civils/water environments with a good knowledge of contract conditions.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and design management.
  • Programme, risk management, and cost control, including forecasting.
  • Experience with MS Project and developing and training teams.
  • Familiarity with various contract types, including Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms.
  • Educational requirements: minimum HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent.
  • CSCS card and experience with Pre-Qualification and Tendering processes for multi-discipline projects.
  • Excellent people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable: CEng MICE or NEBOSH construction certificate.
  • Experience with construction software and fostering a lean culture within the team.
