Job Title – Operations Consultant – Luxury Travel

Job Location –London

Salary – Up to 22k basic

My client is a luxury travel company that has established a reputation for delivering absolute excellence in everything they do.

They are recruiting an Operations Consultant that has two years’ experience in the travel sector.

In the role you will be ensuring that all administration for luxury reservations is completed in a timely manner. You will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all suppliers and service providers.

You must have a great personality as you will need to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the clients and to have total responsibility for all their confirmed holidays.

You will be responsible for all the amendments and changes from clients and must advise them of the most suitable options for their tours.

A major part of the role is to check that all travel services are booked well in advance of the date of travel and ensure that all service providers are kept informed of all changes and amendments to their confirmed groups.

Office Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 09:00 to 17:30 or 09:30 to 18:00
  • Saturday 09:30 – 16:30 one Saturday per month (time off in lieu)

Responsibilities:

  • Requesting accommodation with suppliers and updating bookings
  • Liaison with overseas ground handlers
  • Action any agent/client queries by phone & e-mail
  • Checking hotel availability & closeouts
  • To produce, check and collate all travel documentation for dispatch
  • To assist with other duties in the department as required and agreed with the Operations Manager

Preferred experience & requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Middle East, Caribbean, Far East & Indian Ocean
  • Airline & ticketing abilities using Amadeus
  • Minimum 2 years travel experience
