Job summary

Saab UK in Bedfordshire is seeking an Operations Manager to provide governance, compliance, trials and business coordination across the organisation, with a focus on continuous improvement for the BlueBear operation.

You will develop KPIs, manage audits, export controls, health and safety, and security. A strong leader with experience in quality management systems and risk management is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and change management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Experience implementing quality management systems (ISO 9001).
• Familiar with ISO 27001 and export control considerations.
• Awareness of HSE, environmental management and security topics.
• Experience in defence industry and UK MOD is desirable.
• SC clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across the organisation to maintain high standards.
• Lead process standardisation and ensure compliance with the quality management system.
• Coordinate compliance areas including export control, health & safety, and security.
• Develop and track KPIs to support strategic business planning.
• Capture customer feedback and drive changes where needed.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and business continuity activities.
• Provide training on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
