Job description

BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Operations & Compliance Assistant for their client in Middlesbrough, Teesside. You'll join this rapidly growing family business who believe in looking after their staff, and where culture is a top priority! They are passionate about helping the local community and making a difference where they can.

Here, you will have experienced mentors who will help you to progress in your career. You'll join their expanding team based at their busy, fast-moving head office, working 5 days a week.

The role combines administrative support for the compliance and operations functions with PA and reception duties.

You will be driven and want to succeed, with an outgoing personality and excellent communication skills. Liaising with internal and external colleagues will be a big part of this role.

Discretion is key for this role, and you must be used to managing multiple priorities. You'll be proactive with a flexible approach to work outside of a job description. This teamwork is what makes them a team!

  • Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week full-time
  • Friday 8am-4pm

Your Responsibilities/Skills include:

  • Assisting in maintaining and updating compliance documentation
  • Supporting with internal audits
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies
  • Providing PA support including diary management, meeting coordination, and travel management
  • Preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items
  • Greeting visitors and managing incoming calls in a friendly manner
