The Role

Operations Business Analyst/ Project Management (varied projects & multi-asset classes i.e. ETD’s, FX, OTC Derivatives, etc.)

Martis Search is partnering with a City of London-based, global Trading institution to hire a permanent “Operations Business Analyst/ Project Management” professional.

This role is based on a Trading Floor, working alongside multiple Sales and Trading teams, within a small “Operations Project Management” team. The role reports to a senior Operations Manager (Project Management), providing valuable learning opportunities.

Our client seeks candidates who are either:

1. From a Banking Operations background, e.g., Trade Support, Settlements, Corporate Actions, with product knowledge such as FX, Futures & Options (ETD’s), Commodities, OTC Derivatives, and some project/change management exposure, aiming to develop a career as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or in Change Management.

Or

1. Currently working as a Business Analyst within Operations or Compliance, seeking their next Business Analyst role.

The role involves managing projects lasting 2-6 months, collaborating with internal stakeholders (Trading teams, Operations, senior Managers), external system providers, consultancy firms, and auditors.

You will attend meetings with the Head of Project Management, so excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential. Confidence and maturity in engaging with senior management are required. The role offers exposure to multi-asset classes, trading desks, regulations, company integrations, and system implementations.
