Thales Group in Glasgow seeks an Operations Assurance Lead – Sea Sector to provide independent oversight of programme delivery, ensuring cost, schedule and risk performance. You will work with senior stakeholders across Sea Sector, Operations Leadership and Assurance teams to drive delivery quality.

The role offers high-impact leadership, visibility with senior stakeholders, and a broad remit across bids and programme lifecycle, with security considerations typical for defence programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent assurance of programme delivery, ensuring performance against cost, schedule, and risk expectations.
• Lead independent Sea portfolio review and support governance processes across bids and programme execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and Operations Assurance peers to identify risks, improve performance, and strengthen operational delivery.
• Ensure that issues related to the Operations Delivery Engine are resolved/escalated in support of delivery for customers.
• Ensure that the impact of issues is fully understood resulting in effective prioritisation.
• Implement leading/lagging indicators of Programme health to ensure earlier intervention on issues.
• Flag changes appropriately for review to ensure full understanding of the Operational impact.
• Ensure full breadth of Operations capacity/capability is considered during Bids.
