Job summary

Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a Transfer Specialist to manage and oversee client transfers into and out of the company’s management. You will work as part of a team, taking ownership of processes to ensure transfers are completed accurately, compliantly, and within service standards.

The role involves liaising with clients, advisers, custodians, platforms and investment providers, monitoring progress, and delivering timely updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-moving environment with high accuracy and service standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and deliver against deadlines.
• Experience with transfer in/out processes or financial services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process client transfers in and out of the business across investment products and accounts.
• Monitor transfer progress and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain records of transfer activities and communications.
• Liaise with clients, advisers, custodians, platforms, fund managers, and third-party providers.

• Ensure robust controls and fully documented processes.

The role purpose is to manage and oversee the efficient transfer of client assets into and out of the company's management, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately, compliantly, and within agreed service standards. The role acts as a key liaison between clients, financial advisers, custodians, platforms, and investment providers throughout the transfer process.

The successful candidate will flourish when working closely as part of a team to complete core tasks, whilst also understanding the importance of taking individual ownership of their work. In line with the HL values, the successful candidate will have a desire to improve existing processes, grow their own knowledge, and implement change.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process client transfers in and out of the business across a range of investment products and accounts.

• Monitor transfer progress and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records of all transfer activities and communications.

• Liaise with clients, advisers, custodians, platforms, fund managers, and third-party providers.

• Provide regular updates on transfer status and expected completion timelines.

• Respond to transfer-related enquiries professionally and promptly.

• Contribute to ensuring all relevant controls are robust, operated effectively and fully documented

• Ensuring team processes are reliable and effective

• Taking part in wider department projects when opportunities arise

About you

Essential

• Have worked in a fast-moving environment, with a proven ability to work to the highest possible standards of accuracy and service.

• Have worked as part of an effective and successful team

• Strong team member who can manage fluctuating workloads

• Ability to learn quickly, and apply knowledge within differing contexts

Desirable

• Experience of in-house systems, such as Broker Focus and Atlas

• Experience working in at least one financial services team

• Good business, regulatory, investment & operational knowledge

• Experience with transfer in/out processes

Competency based interview conducted through Microsoft Teams

Working Schedule

Monday to Friday, shifts between 8am – 6pm. 37.5 hours a week
