About This Role
You will be joining a small and friendly campus environment team, operating across core parts of the university estate to ensure it is clean and safe for staff, students, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include maintaining waste and recycling collection points, keeping them tidy, and coordinating with external waste contractors to ensure daily collections.
The role also involves helping us increase recycling and reuse of waste materials, contributing to the university’s sustainability goals, and ensuring external spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming.
About You
You will be a hardworking individual with a passion for excellent service delivery and teamwork. You should be quick to learn, comfortable working manually with waste materials, and prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Flexibility is essential, as you may be asked to assist with a variety of tasks as part of the wider sustainability team.
This is a permanent part-time role for 22 hours per week. Additionally, you may be required to assist during UWE open days, Welcome Weekend, or during extreme weather events, which will be paid as overtime.
Location
This role is based at our vibrant Frenchay campus, equipped with modern facilities and resources to support staff and students.
