Covetrus Dumfries is a leading animal health distribution company currently hiring an Operations Assistant to support its dynamic operations team.

The position of Operations Assistant involves all tasks related to warehouse operations, including receipt, locating, replenishing, counting, picking, checking, packing, and dispatching goods; as well as the accurate and timely processing of customer sales orders and returns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pick and Pack

• Loading orders onto our advanced conveyor system and/or supporting vehicle order picking
• Executing the technology-driven pick process throughout the facility
• Completing customer orders based on geographical location
• Auditing and verifying product quality

Dispatch

• Efficiently loading customer orders onto our logistics network
• Coordinating priority customer movements with the supply chain, including paperwork
• Ensuring continuous stock movement
• Opportunity to gain MHE qualifications

Relevant to all departments

• Manual handling within the warehouse environment, including lifting, moving, carrying, and transporting pallets/boxes using pallet trucks; working at height with equipment such as high order pickers and wave machines
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping by following cleaning plans
• Complying with all health and safety requirements and instructions
• Selecting goods for customer orders from designated stock locations, securely packing orders, and attaching customer address labels
• Performing quality checks on picked orders
