Job description

We have the opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join our Tokio Marine Asset Management (TMAM) team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the COO, this role will support a wide range of compliance, accounting, and operational activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the business and alignment with regulatory requirements.

This role includes responsibility for:

  • Supporting accounting activities including communications, reporting, and maintaining documentation aligned with our accounting framework
  • Supporting compliance activities including communications, reporting, and maintaining documentation aligned with our compliance framework
  • Assisting with accounting-related communications, reporting, and administrative tasks
  • Supporting all members of the team and other group companies by assembling reports, making proposals, arranging meetings to help fulfil requests and assisting in related services
  • Ensuring business operations being complied with the FCA requirements and other relevant regulations
  • Contributing to broader operational areas such as:
    • Risk Management
    • Internal Audit
    • IT and Facilities coordination
    • Liaison with group companies, including Tokyo Head Office
    • General office administration
The successful candidate will have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word, and be comfortable working with numbers. Native-level Japanese and business-level English are essential, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages, including with legal and compliance professionals. We are looking for someone with a high attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
