Are you looking to kickstart your career in operations and administration while earning a nationally recognised qualification?
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Group, as an Operational Apprentice.

You'll gain valuable hands-on experience across administration, sales support, and operational functions, while working towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. This role is a fantastic springboard into a future career in operations, technical services, or commercial roles within a respected engineering services business.

What You'll Do

As an Operational Apprentice, you will support both administrative and operational tasks to ensure excellent service delivery for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing general administrative support (data entry, filing, scanning, document preparation)

  • Handling phone calls, emails, and customer enquiries professionally

  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings, including preparing minutes and supporting materials

  • Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems

  • Assisting with post, deliveries, and collections (using the company Transit Pickup Truck - training provided)

  • Preparing accurate quotations from approved supplier lists and sending them to customers

  • Supporting sales and service teams with documentation and enquiries

  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders for smooth service delivery

  • Gaining exposure to workshop operations, including identifying lifting equipment components and assisting in activities (training provided, including Forklift Truck operation)

  • Assisting with reports, presentations, and sales proposals

  • Taking responsibility for your own learning and development as part of the apprenticeship program

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic apprentice who meets the following requirements:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (essential)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges

  • Ability to work both independently (with supervision) and as part of a team

  • Professional, customer-focused attitude

  • Interest in engineering, operations, or sales as a career path

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
