Job Description:

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for renewable energy? My client is looking for a proactive and dependable Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician to join a growing team. My client are a Pan-European IPP which operate a 300MW portfolio, as well as a development portfolio of over 3GW.

This is a field-based role, so be prepared to hit the road and get stuck into exciting projects—Monday to Friday, wherever the solar takes you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs on solar power systems
  • Diagnose and fix electrical faults to reduce downtime and keep energy flowing
  • Keep clear records of your work and report on site performance and issues
  • Support new system commissioning and ensure operational safety
  • Inspect equipment and identify opportunities to boost efficiency and reliability

Key Skills

  • Hands-on experience with solar PV systems—installation, commissioning, and upkeep
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
