Job summary

ABP UK is seeking a data analyst for our on-site abattoir and boning hall operations in the Midlands. You will transform operational data into actionable insights to drive efficiency, profitability and continuous improvement.

Working with site leadership, planning and operations, you will develop dashboards and analytical models, monitor KPIs, and translate findings into measurable business improvements. Experience with Excel and Power BI is essential; SQL knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyse operational and commercial performance across abattoir and boning hall functions.

• Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities through detailed data analysis.
• Conduct root cause investigations and provide recommendations to improve operational performance.
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, analytical models and performance tracking tools.
• Produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc performance analysis for site and senior leadership teams.
• Utilise Excel, Power BI and other BI tools to support data-driven decision making.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.
• Work alongside operational teams to understand processes and validate analytical findings.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded Analyst to support operational performance across our abattoir and boning hall operations. This role is responsible for transforming operational data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, profitability, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with site leadership, planning teams, and operational management, the successful candidate will identify opportunities, investigate performance trends, and support strategic decision-making through robust analysis and reporting.

This is a unique role that combines data analysis with hands-on operational understanding. The successful candidate will spend time both within manufacturing operations and in an analytical environment, developing a detailed understanding of processes and translating findings into measurable business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Analysis

• Analyse operational and commercial performance across abattoir and boning hall functions.
