The University of Strathclyde is seeking an administrator to manage key operational functions within the Technology & Innovation Centre. You will engage effectively with a diverse community of stakeholders, utilize your organizational and interpersonal skills, and provide excellent administrative support for client services.
The University is seeking to appoint an administrator who will be responsible for providing key administrative duties as part of the Operations Team managing the Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC). TIC accommodates up to a maximum of 750 people including academics, researchers, post-graduate students, project managers and industry partners and external organisation (tenants), as well as being a world class conference and events venue capable of hosting up to 600 delegates at any one time.
Working as part of a team, you will use your skills as an administrator to ensure that operational processes run smoothly and efficiently, and you will work collaboratively with colleagues to administer a broad range of activities to ensure the smooth running of the building throughout the year, and will use your interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a large community of stakeholders, internal and external to the University. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills which displays the diplomacy and tact required to manage and negotiate across disciplines courteously and effectively whilst coordinating and completing your tasks.
As a key member of the Operations Team, you will assist with delivering first class client services working alongside the support functions including Stores, IT, Conference and Events, Catering and Health & Safety. You will be highly motivated with the ability to work accurately and dependably both on your own as well as part of a team.
Educated, enthusiastic, bright and highly articulate, with a minimum 5years previous work experience in a similar environment, you will be IT literate and well experienced in a range of Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Outlook and Excel. You will have excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills and a high attention to detail.
Salary range: £27,644 - £29,959
FTE: 1.0 (35 hours per week)
