Our engineering client is looking for an Operations Administrator.
Location: Queenborough
Salary Range: £21,000+ depending on skills and experience
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, ideally 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Occasional flexibility is required during busy periods.
Employment Type: Office-based, part-time, 30 hours/week.
Operations Administrator Job Summary:
The Operations Administrator will process customer orders, coordinate product deliveries, and ensure smooth workflows between departments. This role is perfect for detail-oriented professionals who take initiative and provide excellent customer service.
Operations Administrator Duties:
- Enter customer orders into the system and ensure they meet customer needs.
- Maintain clear records of all purchase orders.
- Update customer pricing agreements.
- Create work orders in the system and track their progress.
- Work with the production manager to schedule work.
- Order materials needed for production.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels.
- Assist with regular stock checks.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Support quality improvement projects.
- Act as the primary contact for customers regarding their purchase orders.
- Keep customers updated about their orders and delivery.
- Identify and resolve issues before they affect customers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in business administration, manufacturing operations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience using ERP systems and handling customer order fulfillment.
- Good knowledge of production planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
