Operations Accountant

Our client, a well-established food manufacturing company based just outside of Manchester, is seeking a driven and commercially-focused professional to join their dynamic team as an Operations Accountant. The role

As a Commercial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate financial insights and supporting the business in achieving its objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of weekly Flash P&L reports and monthly management accounts.
  • Preparing and processing monthly journals.
  • Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborating with budget holders and site teams to analyse adverse variances and implement countermeasures.
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.

Required

  • Extensive knowledge of management accounting, gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • A recognized accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA preferred).
