Job summary

Diageo is seeking a contractor to support its Global Engineering, Digital & Automation team. The role drives the Digital Supply Chain initiative, delivering IT/OT integration for capital projects across manufacturing sites including distillation, brewing, spirits and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Development of requirement specifications in collaboration with Operations.
• Deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.
• Develop cost estimates and project schedules.
• Manage spend for capex projects.
• Coordinate and manage external resources.
• Oversee project lifecycle from capital approval to closure.
• Manage commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Exceptional stakeholder management with cross-functional teams.
• Programme management experience in large FMCG organisations (preferred).

Job description

The role is positioned in the Global Engineering, Digital & Automation team which provides Capital Project delivery support to our manufacturing sites including distillation, brewing, spirits and beer packaging and maturation warehousing.

This role more specifically will support Diageo’s Digital Supply Chain initiative driving specific workstreams for Operational technology infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Development of requirement specifications in collaboration with other internal teams such as Operations.
• Use of specialist knowledge to deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.
• Development of cost estimates and project schedules.
• Managing efficient spend for capex projects.
• Co-ordinating and managing external resources.
• Management of the project lifecycle including capital approval, maintaining accurate financial data including spend and forecast and project closure.
• Manage and overseeing commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental standards.
• Exceptional Stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively and proactively with cross functional teams and internal customers regarding plans, products, issues, timelines and solution value.
• Programme management experience within large FMCG organisation(s) (preferred)

Specialist Skills

• Manufacturing Executions Systems delivery knowledge & experience demonstrating extensive experience with IT/OT integration.
• Server Hardware, Virtualisation & Industrial Networking Technologies project delivery knowledge & experience.
• Manufacturing cybersecurity risk management experience.
• Continuous Process Control systems project delivery experience.
• Proficiency reviewing solution designs using logical and physical diagrams.

Education

• Degree qualified in science/engineering discipline
• Recognized Project Management competence certification
