Job summary

South West Water Limited is seeking an OT Engineer to lead hands-on OT engineering across PLC/SCADA/HMI, telemetry, and secure industrial networks. You will design, install, configure and maintain OT systems powering essential water and wastewater operations.

The role focuses on resilient, compliant OT infrastructure with strong safety and cyber security emphasis, collaborating with operations, IT, and external contractors in a hybrid working setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in OT systems including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, telemetry.
• Experience in operational support, fault diagnosis, and live-environment recovery.
• Strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, cyber security, health & safety.
• Able to collaborate across teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on OT engineering covering design, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Ensure OT infrastructure is compliant, secure, and resilient.

• Proven experience in OT systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, telemetry, and industrial communications networks.
• Experience in operational support, fault diagnosis, and system recovery in live environments.
