Operational Technology Delivery Manager (OT)
Utilities
Hybrid: Largely remote with the need to travel to operational sites
6 months+
£600 - £650 per day

In short: We require a Delivery Manager to keep track of 4 OT-based projects ran by 4 PMs. Operational Technology experience is essential. We need someone from a utilities / hazardous operational site background who understands how to deliver to the commitments we've made to OFGEM.

In full:

• The SS&I project sponsor is to provide support to the Investment Manager across a portfolio of Operational technology cyber security projects.


• You will operate within a team to drive delivery of Security projects for Operational Technology across the gas National Transmission System.


• You will provide assurance that multiple project are delivering to the charter via attendance at critical project governance meetings.


• You will ensure that the projects under your remit continue to work to cyber engineering best practice, and achieve the cyber risk reduction as per our Ofgem commitments.


• Provide effective leadership to the project team, ensuring that team members are supported, motivated and developing their skills and experience.


• Work with PM and key stakeholders across the business to build credible programme for delivery.

Project sponsor role to ensure the programme outputs the cyber risk reduction within the agreed time/cost. This includes:

• Owns the project charter for each OT project to ensure the stated cyber risk reduction is achieved.


• Give ad hoc direction as requested by the Project Manager.


• Attend governance meetings on each project.


• Approve project change management in conjunction with the programme manager.


• Drive alignment between the various security/construction projects.


• Provide ad hoc engineering support to inflight security projects.

You will also support the Investment Manager with ancillary programme management tasks including:

• Identify and test business case for new projects e.g. triggered risk or future business plans.


• Advise projects on transition to Run The Business including setting up PDSAs, tooling, training etc.


• Support project recruitment.


• Support incident investigations raised for the OT programme (Low, Medium and High)


• Process improvements to embed security touch point in to OT security projects and pre-emptively remove barriers to project delivery.

Knowledge / experience:

• Experience of project delivery in an operational technology site such as gas, oil or similar is essential.


• Experience of delivery of engineering programmes of work.


• Has proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills


• Understanding of engineering contracts (e.g. NEC)


• Understanding of managing risk in an operational environment.


• Understanding of H&S and CDM in operational environment.
