Operational Team Supervisor

My client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Operational Team Supervisor to lead one of their mobile operational teams. Typical responsibilities vary from hoop bending and gutter rolling to managing logistics and onsite operations, ensuring each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards - all while representing the business with professionalism and a customer-first attitude.

Operational Team Supervisor Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a small team of technicians, ensuring productivity and strong team cohesion.
• Plan and delegate daily and weekly workloads on-site.

• Supervise and participate in hands-on construction of tunnel systems.
• Operate and oversee machinery and tools safely and efficiently.

• Act as the main on-site contact for customers during installations and training.
• Deliver clear, hands-on training on system use, maintenance, and management.
• Ensure a positive customer experience and provide feedback to internal teams.

• Promote safe working practices and ensure adherence to company and industry Health & Safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety checks and maintain accurate compliance records.

• Coordinate materials delivery and plan team travel for project sites.
• Maintain flexibility to travel across the UK, Europe, and beyond at short notice.

• Oversee the condition and use of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
• Monitor stock levels of installation materials and report maintenance needs promptly.

Operational Team Supervisor Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Experience supervising a small team in construction, agriculture, or a technical field
• Mechanical experience or understanding of equipment use (preferred)
• Forklift/telehandler licences (desirable)
• Strong literacy and numeracy
• Experience working abroad or with international teams (advantageous)
