A healthcare institution in the UK seeks an experienced Operational Support Manager to ensure the efficient running of administrative services. The ideal candidate will manage teams, oversee performance metrics, and require a degree level qualification along with experience in operational management. You will be responsible for problem-solving, scheduling, and maintaining communication across various teams.
An opportunity has arisen to join the General Surgery, Urology and Breast team as an Operational Support Manager. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the daily administration service. The post holder will assist the Assistant General Manager & Performance and Operations Manager to ensure key performance, quality and financial targets are met in line with the service's strategic objectives. You will also contribute to the delivery of challenging performance targets through effective communication and liaison with Consultant, medical, nursing and administration staff across the Trust on a day-to-day basis. With experience in an operational setting, you will be able to demonstrate good team management skills and good problem solving ability. You will also be able to prioritise your own workload in order to meet deadlines.
The post holder will deputise the management of the operational activities and staff of designated services within the Planned Care Division deputising for the Service Operations Manager as required. The post holder will have line management responsibilities for Administration Teams within the designated services. Working closely with the Service Operations Manager and the Performance and Operations Manager, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of efficient theatre and clinic utilisation across the Great Western Hospital through their expertise in scheduling and resource management. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of challenging performance targets through effective communication and liaison with Consultant, medical, nursing and administration staff across the Trust on a day-to-day basis. As part of ensuring the delivery of performance targets, this role involves organising and analysing complex data.
