The Senior Risk Specialist - Operational Resilience is a key role within the Enterprise Risk Management team (2nd LoD) and will play an influential role in implementing, managing and reporting on business resilience initiatives, including critical operations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager and working across the Superannuation business, the role is responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with APRA Prudential Standard CPS 230 Operational Risk Management as well as helping to create a greater operationally resilient culture across the broader business. The role partners closely with critical operation owners, technical SMEs (such as IT) and other business areas to support with the oversight of the operational risk profiles and resiliency of critical operations.

This role requires a blend of strong stakeholder engagement skills, technical expertise, and the ability to influence and drive outcomes. Your efforts will help to ensure that the organisation as a whole remains resilient to operational risks and capable of withstanding disruptions.

Candidate Experience

• Degree qualified with post graduate qualifications preferred, with a minimum of five years’ experience in either consulting and / or operational resilience and risk management within Financial Services (superannuation industry experience preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to operational risk and resilience (CPS230)
• A proven track record of collaborating with business stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining operational risk management policies, processes and delivering training.
• An ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
