Role Overview

Reporting directly to the CRO, the Operational Risk Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the firm’s operational risk framework. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the board, and requires a proactive, analytical, and collaborative approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), scenario analysis, and control testing.
• Oversee the operational risk incident management process, including root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
• Develop and maintain risk metrics and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor risk exposures.
• Partner with business units to embed a strong risk culture and ensure effective risk mitigation.
• Prepare and present operational risk reports to senior management and governance committees.
• Support regulatory and internal audit engagements related to operational risk.
• Monitor business evolution, emerging risks, and industry trends to proactively adapt the operational risk framework.

Key Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in operational risk management within financial services, preferably in a prime brokerage or investment banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (e.g., Basel, COSO) and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with risk systems and data analytics tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
