Operational Risk Analyst

Our client, a fully-integrated energy company with an international reach, is looking for an Operational Risk Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis.

As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will support the business in managing and tracking risks, both commercial and operational, across multiple products. This role offers an opportunity to gain exposure and experience within the energy sales sector.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Operate key daily and weekly operational risk controls and monitoring processes.
  2. Support incident management programmes.
  3. Respond to incidents promptly, drafting accurate incident details following investigations and managing the incident system.
  4. Assist in producing operational risk content and reports for management.
  5. Support administration of the Business Continuity Programme.
  6. Provide independent analysis on risk and control aspects, offering recommendations, tracking actions, and recording resolutions.
  7. Assist in implementing key change projects for the Enterprise and Operational risk teams.
  8. Contribute to developing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
Key Skills and Experience:
  1. Experience of operational risk in energy, financial, or retail sectors.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders clearly and insightfully.
  3. Attentiveness and ability to understand others' perspectives, communicating complex issues effectively.
  4. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office; experience with MS Excel and Power BI is advantageous.
  6. Reliable, diligent, and able to work independently or in teams.
  7. Adaptable to changing priorities and short-notice environment.
  8. Suitable for graduates with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
