Operational Resilience & Services Manager – UK/Lloyd’s

The Operational Resilience & Services Manager is responsible for overseeing key components of AXA UK & Lloyd’s operations and services. This role includes delivering operational resilience in the UK, managing third-party relationships, and providing operational support. It offers the opportunity to collaborate with AXA XL’s leadership and influence regulatory strategies within the COO function.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Resilience and Outsourcing – UK
  • Implement and improve the Operational Resilience Roadmap, working with the global team.
  • Manage Important Business Services, Impact Tolerances, Dependency Mapping, Scenario Testing, Self-Assessments, and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Report to UK executives, boards, and regulators on resilience efforts, including annual assessments.
  • Promote an operational resilience culture through governance, training, and communication.
  • Participate in divisional and global resilience forums.
  • Outsourcing & Third-Party Management
    • Lead the Outsourcing Committee, ensuring governance and escalation procedures are followed.
    • Coordinate activities related to critical outsourcing and Lloyd’s insurance arrangements.
    • Engage with global committees and manage vendor relationships like LIMOSS and Velonetic.
  • Operational Services Support
    • Support procurement, vendor management, and operational projects.
    • Provide BAU support for outsourcing and vendor management as UK SME.
    • Oversee operational governance and reporting for UK & Lloyd’s COO.

    Additional responsibilities include ensuring operational priorities, overseeing security and cyber initiatives, process improvements, internal audits, LMS controls, KPI reporting, cost management, and preparing high-quality reports for executive committees.

    The role requires strategic engagement with multiple senior stakeholders and reports to the Chief of Staff, COO UK & Lloyd’s, within the COO Office of the UK & Lloyd’s Market Region.

    • Experience in operational resilience and outsourcing, ideally within UK regulatory frameworks and the London market.
