Job Description

Key Accountabilities
  1. Responsible for day-to-day management of operational resilience across Syndicate 1200, being a primary subject matter expert for regulatory operational resilience and coordinating these requirements with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
  2. Help to own the Syndicate's IBS and ITols and be responsible for ensuring they remain relevant and accurate.
  3. Become the Deputy Chair of the Operational Resilience Working Group and a member of the Incident Response Team, and provide expert input and coordination to the group, and support the completion of work and preparation of materials for the Steering Committee.
  4. Provide support and expertise into operational resilience regulatory returns, attestations and internal committee and board reporting.
  5. Manage a full suite of operational resilience materials and documentation for both regulatory compliance and support for functional and day-to-day resilience work.
  6. Coordinate the alignment and consistent reporting and progression of operational resilience adherence with business continuity planning, disaster recovery (IT) and cyber resilience (Info Security) to ensure a joined up approach across the syndicate.
  7. Support the Head of Operational Controls and Head of Underwriting Operations in agreeing the strategy and priorities for operational resilience compliance, enhancing broader business awareness and ensuring necessary alignment with Westfield Group.
Role Requirements
  1. Help to own and maintain the Syndicate's Important Business Services and Impact Tolerances, and coordinate a comprehensive operational resilience scenario testing program for all IBSs and ITols.
  2. Assist with the coordination and completion of operational resilience regulatory returns, Lloyd's attestations and Board Self-Assessment Returns, as well as monthly and quarterly internal committee and board reporting.
  3. Develop and maintain a best-in-class suite of operational resilience materials and documentation, including policies and procedures, testing methodology, scenario library, testing schedule and action trackers.
  4. Enhance, test and manage incident response communication guidelines and develop a robust process for using them during an operational incident.
  5. Work with key teams and functions within the syndicate and establish strong working relationships to help align operational resilience and business continuity efforts, and increase awareness of resilience requirements and processes across all teams.
  6. Develop new, relevant and creative ways of enhancing the operational resilience framework and improving preparedness for incidents and disruption.
Skills & Competencies Required
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of Lloyd's operational resilience requirements and processes, and strong understanding of best practice design of a holistic operational resilience program.
  2. Excellent communication skills - both oral and written, being able to write clear, precise and well organised documents, reports and committee/board-level reporting, and communicate complex topics articulately and professionally to a range of audiences and seniorities.
  3. Strong presentational and advanced PowerPoint skills, alongside a keen eye for how to turn data into information and present it to a variety of stakeholders.
  4. Experience in and strong ability to provide detailed analysis and insight, offer critical thinking and challenge existing processes and methods to drive creative improvement and change.
  5. Relationship building - establishing and maintaining strong working relationships across all key functions and operational resilience SMEs, and an ability to influence and persuade effectively.
  6. Exceptional organisational skills - being able to prioritise tasks, manage time and workload, work independently and as part of a team, deliver on deadlines and demonstrate drive and diligence.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. CII qualifications preferable although not essential.
  2. At least 4 years of insurance industry experience.
  3. Knowledge of the Lloyd's Market essential.
  4. Experience of operational resilience and related regulatory requirements essential.
