Job summary

South East Water UK is seeking an Operational Resilience and Security Manager to lead SEMD compliance and develop our protective security strategy across the business. You will work with regulators, industry bodies and internal teams to secure funding for future security requirements.

As SME, you will disseminate guidance, manage the Emergency Planning Team, and ensure robust incident response, training, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/4 in security or emergency planning, preferably water industry.
• Ability to develop, motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proven track record in risk assessment and regulated environments.
• Experience engaging regulators and external industry bodies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, mentor and manage the Operational Resilience and Security team.
• Lead SEMD compliance and ensure funding through clear business cases.
• Disseminate industry guidance and identify risks with mitigation plans.
• Own incident and emergency planning, coordinating external stakeholders.
• Manage training materials with HR and deliver incident management training.
• Oversee SEMD RAG assessments and improve action plans.
