Operational Resilience Manager (Vice President) | Major Commodities Firm | London (Hybrid)
Our client is a leading player in the global commodities sector and is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Manager to join our Risk & Resilience team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and strengthen the resilience strategy of a business with significant global reach and complexity.
As a key member of the Operational Resilience function, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and protecting the firm's most critical business services. You'll work closely with stakeholders across all functions to ensure the organisation is prepared to prevent, respond to, and recover from disruptions—safeguarding both our operations and our reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead annual and ad hoc mapping of important business services and their operational dependencies (people, processes, technology, facilities, data, and security).
- Partner with service owners to identify risks and design mitigation strategies.
- Define and maintain impact tolerance statements and resilience scenarios—including extreme but plausible tests aligned with ISO22301 standards.
- Coordinate business continuity and crisis management responses, including post-incident reviews and lessons learned.
- Serve as the crisis lead during incidents and participate in the on-call rota.
- Generate and present insightful resilience reporting to governance committees and senior leadership.
- Support product and project teams to embed resilience into development and change processes.
- Continuously monitor and advise on evolving regulatory requirements (FCA, Bank of England, etc.).
- Be a subject matter expert on operational resilience within the firm.
What They’re Looking For:
- 5+ years in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, or Operational Risk roles (essential)
- Strong grasp of UK regulatory requirements (FCA, BoE) for operational resilience
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- ISO22301 certification and/or BCI qualification (preferred)
