Job summary

The AA is seeking a Head of Operational Resilience in Basingstoke with hybrid work. The role drives the enterprise resilience framework across Technology, Risk and Business, ensuring services remain resilient and well governed amid regulatory expectations.

You will lead governance, embed best practices, and influence Board discussions, shaping resilience strategy and delivery across the organisation.

Qualifications

Significant experience leading Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or resilience risk in a large, regulated organisation.
Strong knowledge of Operational Resilience regulation, including Important Business Services, impact tolerances and testing.
Proven ability to work with Technology and Information Security teams on resilience.
Experience influencing senior executives and governance forums.
Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical resilience strategies.
Professional qualifications such as CBCI or ISO 22301 are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead and evolve The AA's Operational Resilience framework to align with regulations and best practice.
Drive continuity planning, scenario testing and resilience exercises across critical services.
Partner with Tech, Information Security, Risk and business leaders to strengthen resilience capabilities.
Provide expert challenge to senior leaders and governance forums with clear reporting.
Ensure resilience is embedded in change programmes and supplier governance.
Lead and inspire a high-performing Operational Resilience team.
