Role Title: Operational Resilience Lead - Capacity Management Framework
Location: Sheffield S1 4NB (Hybrid 60% office/40% home - 3 days in the office is mandatory)
Duration: Until EOY Initially
Rate: £505p/d via Umbrella

Overview

The OpRes Lead will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Capacity Management Framework at Business Service level, across Important Business Services (IBS) and Critical Operations (COs). The role requires strong leadership, the ability to engage senior stakeholders, and oversight to ensure capacity practices are embedded in operational resilience framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the adoption of Capacity Management practices within IBS and COs.
  • Partner with Operational Resilience Entity Leads to align capacity requirements with resilience objectives.
  • Provide oversight of framework implementation. Monitor adoption progress, identify risks and gaps, and drive remediation or escalation as required.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement with senior business and technology leaders.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Operational Resilience (e.g., IBS, COs).
  • Understanding of capacity management, risk management, and service governance practices.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver within a complex, multi-entity environment.
Tooling Leadership & Integration

The Supplier will provide leadership for the development and adoption of the Capacity Management tool, acting as Product Owner to drive design, backlog prioritisation, and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities include
  • Product Ownership: Define tool requirements, maintain product backlog, prioritise features.
  • Integration Orchestration: Lead integration of the tool with other enterprise practices and tooling (e.g., SDLC, OMAR, Observability, Architecture, Service Management).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to align functionality with adoption objectives.
