St. James’s Place is seeking an Operational Resilience Governance Manager in Cirencester.

You will shape and enhance the Group's Resilience Framework, coordinating across business areas to ensure resilience risks, vulnerabilities and remediation plans are identified, monitored and reported. You will lead governance across Operational Resilience and Business Continuity, producing reports for executives and committees, and developing metrics to track performance while engaging with senior

  • Support oversight of Material Third Parties and suppliers.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to monitor operational resilience.
  • Facilitate business engagement and training activities.
  • Contribute to internal forums and governance meetings.
  • Support major incident preparedness and response activities.

About the role:

The Operational Resilience Governance Manager and play a key role in shaping, coordinating and enhancing the Group's Operational Resilience Framework. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a strategically important capability within a growing resilience function, helping to ensure the organisation can continue to deliver critical services to clients, advisers and stakeholders in the face of disruption.

Working at the heart of the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity team, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving governance arrangements that support the Group's resilience objectives. Acting as a central point of coordination across multiple business areas, you will bring together information, insights and activities from across the organisation to ensure resilience risks, vulnerabilities and remediation plans are effectively identified, monitored and reported

What you'll be doing:

About you:

You are an ambitious and highly motivated professional with a proven track record in Information Technology, Operational Resilience, Governance, Risk, or Business Continuity roles within a regulated environment. You combine strong technical understanding with excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling you to bridge the gap between business and technology teams while ensuring resilience requirements are understood, embedded and effectively delivered.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Technology, Cyber Security, Operations, Risk, senior business leaders and third-party suppliers. You have the confidence and credibility to build trusted relationships, challenge constructively, and influence decisions that improve the resilience of critical services and processes.

With a strong understanding of operational resilience principles, you are experienced in identifying and managing technology and operational dependencies, assessing vulnerabilities, and supporting the development of frameworks, governance processes and remediation plans. You are comfortable interpreting complex information and translating it into practical recommendations that help the organisation strengthen its resilience capabilities while meeting regulatory expectations.

  • Experience in governance and oversight of operational resilience frameworks.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports and insights.
  • Expertise in coordinating assurance programmes and resilience reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Recognised professional accreditation in business continuity, operational resilience or a related discipline, preferably MBCI, or equivalent depth of professional experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations and internal standards.
  • Experience in business continuity planning and incident response.
  • Knowledge of dependency mapping and vulnerability tracking.
  • Ability to engage and train business teams effectively.
