Operational Resilience Governance Lead

Role Description

As an Operational Resilience Governance Lead in Protection & Resilience (P&R) at Allianz, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective management processes, governance, and support structures to ensure the successful execution of initiatives aimed at enhancing operational resilience.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the timely development and review of all papers, presentations and reporting information into the relevant committees and forums. Additionally, you'll be responsible for organising and minuting any meetings chaired by the Head of P&R and associated meetings.

You'll own the tracking of any actions and management responses to Risk Opinions, Audit findings, regulatory requirements and other actionable activities.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £60,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

Key Accountabilities

  • Co-ordination across P&R to ensure we are providing a single, coherent, and complete representation and engagement to the business, by ensuring awareness and co-ordination of activities across the different pillars within P&R
  • Understanding demands on P&R, challenging where necessary and ensuring that requests are being passed to the relevant areas of P&R, and tracked through to completion.
  • Working with the leadership team to ensure any new services impacting P&R are onboarded into P&R pragmatically and effectively.
  • Maintain a forward plan of items impacting P&R, including audits, key controls, remediation actions, committee paper production and ensure that owners are getting any necessary actions completed on time.
  • Managing meetings, minute taking, tracking actions, and ensuring all actions including management responses to Risk Opinions, Audit findings and regulatory meetings are completed on time and to the quality required .
  • Assisting or providing guidance in report and deck development and Executive paper delivery, including drafting and sense checking of materials.
  • Ensure that topics and guest speakers for monthly team meetings are scheduled
  • Maintain a risk register for P&R.
  • Ensure all P&R initiatives are being delivered and reported in appropriate forums., leading on initiatives where required.
  • Working the P&R Leadership team ensure the Head of Protection and Resilience is armed with facts and sufficient details for upward reporting and stakeholder management from across P&R
  • Managing stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners.
  • Continuously assessing, supporting and enhancing processes within the team to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with risk management and audit tracking.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven stakeholder management / relationship building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • A good understanding of MS Office with a keen eye for detail
  • Experienced in formal report development and formatting
