Thames Water invites applications for an Operational Planning Engineer to shape the performance of the London water supply network. You will drive weekly, monthly, and annual planning, coordinate outages, and develop strategies to ensure long‑term resilience for millions of customers.
You’ll work with production, network, asset management, and capital delivery teams, analyse KPIs from SCADA and PI systems, and provide technical risk assessments for permits to work.

As an Operational Planning Engineer, you’ll play a central role in shaping the strategy and performance of Thames Water’s supply system. Your work will focus on the bigger picture — optimising system performance, coordinating outages, and ensuring long-term supply and demand resilience. You’ll take the lead on weekly, monthly, and annual planning, developing and maintaining strategies that keep the London water network running efficiently for millions of customers.

Base Location: Thames Valley, Home Counties & London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5 pm. Availability for standby - standby rota 1 week in 5.
