Role responsibilities

As the Operational Planning and Allocation Assistant, you will provide administrative and logistical support the performance and planning project manager. Supporting the planning and implementation of all relevant projects.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Operational Planning Project team.
  • Act as first ‘point of contact’ for any enquiries, requests, or opportunities.
  • Managing room bookings / stationery orders / department mailboxes.
  • Ensure that procedural timescales are always adhered to.
  • Financial reconciliation activities, including purchase orders, requisitions, and invoice validation.
  • Produce and manage project support materials such as action trackers, risk registers, meeting minutes / notes, and briefing documents
  • Maintain a robust and accurate filing system (both electronic and physical) to manage archive and reference material
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with key stakeholders (internal and external), always representing the interests of Transport for Wales in a positive and professional manner
  • A good knowledge of network geography and experience of the transport sector are preferable

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
