Due to a department restructure, NHS Golden Jubilee is seeking a Radiographer with strong leadership and organisational skills for the role of Operational Lead Radiographer. Full-time is preferred, but 0.8 WTE may be considered for the right candidate.

The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital provides essential waiting times imaging for all NHS Scotland Health Boards, along with specialist imaging services such as the West of Scotland Cardiothoracic Centre. The department has multiple MRI, CT scanners, Cardiac Cath Labs, Ultrasound Rooms, plain film rooms, DEXA Scanner, Fluoroscopy, and mobile units. Radiology also hosts the National Ultrasound Training Programme.

You will be responsible for managing the department daily, considering skill mix, clinical prioritisation, and staffing safety. Joining a team of Modality Lead Radiographers, you will contribute to leadership, routine issue resolution, and future planning while maintaining clinical skills.

The successful candidate should work autonomously to meet deadlines and uphold policies. The role involves direct line management, requiring high emotional intelligence.

The department offers a structured CPD programme, clinical supervision, and support for postgraduate learning and conferences. Leadership development through coaching, mentoring, and formal training is encouraged, with a focus on quality improvement.

For an informal discussion, contact Site Lead Radiographer Louise McDade. NHS Golden Jubilee supports flexible working options. Early application is advised as the vacancy may close early due to high volume.
