Job description

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in your local office at least two days a week, with some travel required to flagship offices such as Glasgow, Milton Keynes, Irlam, and London.

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Operations Lead - Network Maintenance

As an Operations Lead, you will drive the implementation of performance improvement initiatives and foster continuous improvement, with a focus on identifying and closing performance gaps across Field Network Operations. You will develop and deploy the tools and metrics needed to optimise processes and enhance overall performance.

You’ll receive a salary of up to £51,000, a car allowance, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

Taking ownership of change initiatives from conception through to implementation
Driving accountability for the delivery of continuous improvement actions
Leading collaboration with other functions to identify and resolve performance gaps in your area
Engaging senior stakeholders to raise improvement initiatives, report on performance, and provide action plans as needed
Managing KPI tracking, monitoring, trend analysis, and conducting quarterly reviews for presentation to the senior management team
Leading risk management activities, ensuring risks and issues are logged, managed, and escalated appropriately
What you’ll bring to the role

Proven project management skills with a strong focus on risk mitigation, budget control, and stakeholder engagement are essential. You’ll also have:

A proven track record of coordinating large, complex projects
Experience devising and delivering effective risk mitigations to keep projects on track
Strong ability to develop and manage project budgets and finances
In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or PMI
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
