Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is looking for an Operational Facilitator at the Ayrshire Urgent Service at University Hospital Crosshouse. The role is 36 hours per week, with working hours 8am to 8pm across 7 days including public holidays.

You will be the first point of contact, directing calls, and allocating appointments and home visits to the appropriate pathway. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with SVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

  • You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
  • You should be educated to SVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge based experience.
  • The post holder should have the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the first point of contact for AUCS ensuring calls are directed to the appropriate pathway.
  • Manage an effective and timely appointment service allocating appointments and home visits.

Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Facilitator based at The Ayrshire Urgent Service at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours

36 hours permanent.

working hours are between 8am 8pm over 7 days per week including public holidays.

What You Will Do

You will be the first point of contact for AUCS ensuring calls are directed to the appropriate pathway, manage an effective and timely appointment service allocating appointments and home visits.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team. You should be an enthusiastic and motivated individual for this role. You should be educated to SVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge based experience. The post holder should have the ability to work well under pressure.

When considering if a post meets the salary threshold for sponsorship, please note the salary advertised is based on a full-time contract and must be pro-rated for part-time positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis following interview and at the commencement of pre-employment checks.
