Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is hiring an Operational Excellence & Process Technology Lead to strengthen our Telford site. This role drives operational excellence, process reliability and capability development, acting as the SME for MPS within the unit and coaching teams to deliver sustainable improvements.

The successful candidate will influence without authority, develop an OpEx roadmap, and collaborate across Operations, Quality and Engineering to boost OEE, reduce waste and cost, while supporting

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (Engineering or similar) or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in manufacturing, process technology or operational excellence.
• Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement / MPS / OpEx frameworks.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent (desirable).
• Strong understanding of OEE, TPM, waste reduction and process reliability.
• Confident coach with the ability to influence without authority.
• Experience working cross functionally with Operations, Quality and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Act as the MPS and Operational Excellence expert within the unit.
• Coach unit managers, team leaders and operators in MPS and OpEx tools.
• Drive implementation of the Müller Production System at unit level.
• Develop and maintain an OpEx improvement roadmap.
• Support the unit through OpEx maturity assessments.
• Improve performance against OEE, waste, material losses and productivity.
• Ensure effective performance data and reporting systems are in place.
• Support and track VPO and cost saving initiatives.
• Solve chronic process and reliability issues.
• Define and maintain critical process parameters and centrelines.
• Work with Quality to improve process capability and technical competence.
• Build technical capability through training and coaching of operators and technicians.
• Support new product introductions (NPD) as the unit's technology expert.

Operational Excellence & Process Technology Lead

About the role

We're recruiting an Operational Excellence & Process Technology Lead to support our manufacturing operation in Telford. This is a key site based role focused on operational excellence, process reliability and technical capability development.

You will act as the subject matter expert for the Müller Production System (MPS) within the unit, coaching teams at all levels and driving sustainable improvements in efficiency, quality, cost and performance. This is not a people management role, instead, you'll influence, coach and develop capability across the unit.
