Job summary

Medical Detection Dogs is seeking an Operational Standards and Performance Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of standards, quality assurance and performance reporting across the charity. The role covers Training and Partnership Services, ensuring consistent, evidence-based, efficient services aligned with our mission to train dogs to save lives.

Based in Great Horwood, Buckinghamshire, with hybrid working as agreed, you will oversee staff development,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within the assistance dog sector.
• Strong knowledge of puppy development, training and socialisation.
• Experience with performance reporting, KPIs and operational processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Commitment to the values and mission of Medical Detection Dogs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and embed operational standards, procedures and service frameworks.
• Ensure clearly defined competencies and consistent application across teams.
• Induct and develop operational staff with coaching and guidance.
• Maintain training materials aligned with ADUK / ADI standards.
• Promote learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
