Job summary

The Diocese Of Coventry Multi Academy Trust is seeking an operational leader to turn Trust-wide standards into practical day-to-day practice across its academies. You will support compliance, health and safety, procurement oversight and policy implementation while acting as a trusted partner to headteachers and business partners within a hybrid UK work model.

Jointly with the Head of Operations & Compliance, you will embed systems, oversee cross-Trust activity and contribute to a high standards

• Translate Trust-wide standards into effective day-to-day practice across academies.
• Support academies to meet statutory requirements and maintain compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance, health and safety, policy implementation and operational assurance.
• Act as a trusted partner to headteachers, academy business partners and central teams.
• Support leadership of core operational areas to ensure efficient, consistent processes.
• Coordinate cross-Trust activity and project delivery.
• Work with the Head of Operations & Compliance to embed systems and expectations across the Trust.
• Contribute to a strong operational culture and effective use of Trust systems.

Job description

This post adds leadership capacity to the Operations & Compliance function of The Diocese Of Coventry Multi Academy Trust, working alongside the Head of Operations & Compliance. The postholder turns Trust-wide operational standards into day-to-day practice, helping academies meet statutory duties and improving compliance, health and safety, procurement oversight, policy and operational assurance. Its distinct feature is acting as a trusted partner to headteachers, academy business partners and central teams across several sites, with hybrid working combining remote UK and on-site work. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the post is wanted as soon as possible.

What the job involves

• Translate Trust-wide operational standards into effective day-to-day practice across academies
• Support academies to meet statutory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance, health and safety, procurement oversight, policy implementation and operational assurance
• Act as a trusted partner to headteachers, academy business partners and central teams, offering guidance, challenge and practical support
• Support the leadership of core operational areas so that processes are efficient, consistent and responsive
• Coordinate cross-Trust activity
• Support the delivery of improvement projects
• Work with the Head of Operations & Compliance to embed systems, processes and expectations across the Trust
• Contribute to a strong operational culture and the effective use of Trust systems and tools
