We're looking for an Operational Events Manager who knows how to lead a Food and Beverage team, deliver top-notch client experiences, and handle a busy and diverse venue with style.

You'll be the friendly face and steady hand behind every event, working alongside a brilliant team to make sure conferences, training sessions, and events go off without a hitch. From managing and developing the event ops team to liaising with clients and coordinating with catering, you'll be the glue that holds the whole show together.

In a typical day, you'll:

  • Host events and be the go-to person for clients on site
  • Lead and motivate the F & B events operations team, giving them the tools and development they need for development and success
  • Manage the food & beverage delivery service with flair and professionalism
  • Keep an eye on costs, resources, and health & safety standards
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager when needed
  • Bring great ideas to the table to help us keep improving, creating great customer experiences and generating revenues for CIM Business Centre

For this role, you'll need:

  • You'll have at least two years' experience in event operational management in a hotel or conferencing environment
  • You'll be a natural leader with a calm head and a can-do positive attitude
  • Excellent working knowledge of Food and Beverage Management with hands-on experience
  • People person? Absolutely. You love making guests feel welcome and supported
  • You know your way around Microsoft Word & Excel, and a budget spreadsheet doesn't scare you
  • You'll be flexible with shifts and happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in in where needed

What you'll get:

  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Pension contribution scheme
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Life assurance scheme
  • Dedicated wellness initiatives and wellness hub that supports your wellbeing (including EAP)
  • Subscription to Perkbox - our online benefits platform including retailer, entertainment and dining out discounts
