The Role

JFR is expanding its operational footprint and seeks four Operational Engineers (HV SAP) to support customer safety and uphold high standards on our clients' sites through governance via Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules. Responsibilities include site inspections, troubleshooting, HV risk assessments, and opportunities to develop into SAP (up to 400kV).

Role Accountabilities

1. Carry out and manage electrical work and testing activities.
2. Manage work areas and restore networks to normal operation.
3. Provide basic electrical safety rules training to site workers.
4. Coordinate resources, including subcontractors, materials, tools, and PPE.
5. Operate as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and Control Person (if required) under EDS Safety Rules.
6. Support global projects, mobilizing on and offshore, working on rotations and ad hoc as needed.
7. Ensure compliance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
8. Plan electrical installations, maintenance, and testing on high and low voltage networks, liaising with clients and ensuring safety standards.
9. Promote health and safety initiatives and support HSE reporting systems.
10. Assist other parts of the business as required.

Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience

Essential

• Experience in electrical engineering roles.
• Understanding of electrical single-line diagrams.
• High safety awareness and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer liaison and management skills.
• Electrical training relevant to the country of study.
• Full driving license and valid passport.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel and work shifts away from home.
• Ability to meet GWO/O&G offshore medical and survival certificates.
• Experience as a Senior Authorised Person on high voltage networks.

Desirable

• Higher education in engineering (HNC, HND, Degree, Masters).
• NEBOSH Construction Health and Safety certification.
• Offshore work experience.
• Fault response and repair management experience.
• Electrical project management experience.
• Authorization to SAP 400kV level on HV networks.
