Job Description:

Vacherin are committed to delivering deliciously different experiences, having fun, and conducting business with a social and environmental conscience. We are excited to be recruiting for an Operational Development Support Chef to work in Vacherin. This is a Monday - Friday position.

You will work with the Food Development Team to ensure day-to-day operational effectiveness. Understanding individual Ops Directors' patch sites, clients, and customers' preferences and ensuring the food offer is bespoke to them, specifically whilst always maintaining the Vacherin food ethos & core standards. Regular site visits and monthly meetings with the operators will help you build relationships with onsite teams, ensuring quality is paramount every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Development
Work on projects and meet deadlines set by the Exec Development Chef & Ops Director.
Collaborate with the food development team to implement food concepts into Vacherin with supporting menu development in café and hospitality areas.
Implement a costed core offer with SOPs covering all seasons & festivities.
Promote Vacherin’s healthy eating concepts & educate teams on healthy eating and wellbeing standards.
Craft
Support training & development within Vacherin kitchens.
Ensure all Head / Exec Chefs are properly inducted.
Assist teams in bringing pop-ups and concepts to life, creating working examples for replication across sites.
Attend client meetings to present food development ideas.
Support high-profile events with menu creation, workflow planning, and tastings.
Identify succession plans for each site with the Exec Development Chef & Ops Director.
Cover Head / Exec Chef’s leave, sickness, and other absences as needed.

Recruitment
Assist with retail Head / Exec Chef recruitment, support succession planning & performance management.
Share a strong candidate pool for future chef positions using CVs and internal knowledge.

Marketing
Implement group marketing and food campaigns.
Create image content for social media & marketing.

Procurement
Identify new products used at sites through our supply chain.

Mobilisations
Work with the Food team to mobilise new or existing contracts.
