Here at NEMS, we are looking for Bank Operational Coordinators who are keen to work night and weekend shifts to join the team!

Main duties of the job

The Operational Coordinator is a key member of staff whose role is to support the operational effectiveness of the NEMS CBS Out of Hours and all NEMS CBS Operational Coordination Contracts.

The main purpose of this role is to work with the Shift Leader to ensure an efficient and effective administrative service to the Out of Hours Services, including clinicians and patients.

Job responsibilities
  • Receive, assist, and direct patients accessing NEMS services in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Answer calls professionally in accordance with the service agreements.
  • File paperwork.
  • Perform computer data entry, data allocation, collation, processing, and recording of information following procedures.
  • Maintain regular patient contact to ensure NEMS CBS requirements are met.
  • Assist the Shift Leader and Service Managers.
  • Coordinate home visits and patient transport.
  • Liaise with staff at 111 and other medical organizations.
  • Assist service users and providers courteously and effectively.
  • Ensure only authorized personnel enter the building and follow relevant data protection and security procedures.
  • Provide assistance and support to new staff members.
