Job description

The Operational Business Support - Specialist Professions, will form an integral part of the Specialist Professions division, reporting to the Operational Business Lead. They will support the delivery of a proactive, efficient and effective operations service, always being a compliant and value-added service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Operational Lead and working in conjunction with other central functions including, Accounts (IREC & IBA), Finance, D365, Placement, IT, HR and Compliance to deliver the best service across Specialist Professions.
  • Supporting and working collaboratively with the business units to give a positive financial impact to the P&L, increase efficiencies or to meet regulatory changes.
  • Manage and support the facilities within the business unit.
  • Assist with the production of MI reports on a regular basis.
  • Deal with any day-to-day issues, problems to identify and respond with suitable solutions.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork across the division.
  • Any other reasonable tasks to support the business unit.

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with and support the Operational Lead.
  • Work with teams to create and execute division plans with detailed proposals to support the business strategy, adapting to market trends.
  • Ensure the Operational Lead is informed and kept up to date with progress against plan. Any issues are identified, communicated, and rectified as soon as possible.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across all divisions and the wider platform, maintaining effective communication and influence to make ensure the Operational strategy is delivered.
  • Understand the internal and external networks and building lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, insurers and suppliers.
  • Work in synergy with others to produce the optimum results for the division.

Experience Required:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A robust understanding of business processes
  • Proven track record of supporting change programmes
  • A robust understanding of business processes policy admin systems
  • Working in environments which occasionally have ambiguity
